Benue Community Development & Peacebuilding Initiative

Driven by a deep commitment to grassroots development and social stability, Dr. Pius Ukeyima Akutah’s Benue Community Development & Peacebuilding Initiative is a long-term programme dedicated to empowering underserved communities across Benue State. With a proven track record that includes the provision of boreholes, support for housing, and participation in conflict-resolution efforts between border communities, this initiative represents a practical, people-centered approach to development and peace.

The project operates as a living portfolio of ongoing and completed community interventions in critical areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, and peacebuilding. Each project is documented with geolocated maps, visual galleries, impact stories, and transparent reporting to ensure accountability and encourage public participation. A special “Peacebuilding Lab” section highlights dialogue sessions, mediation outcomes, and reconciliation efforts undertaken in areas affected by communal tensions.
