Why Is the Literature Review So Important in a Dissertation?
A literature review is more than a list of studies because it helps explain what is already known about a research topic. I realised this when I started planning my own dissertation and saw gaps in existing research. During that stage, I searched for literature review for dissertation to better understand its purpose. It made me look at published studies more critically. How important do you think this section is to the whole dissertation?
